A director is an owner elected by the other owners to voluntarily serve. They are charged with the conduct and management of an association's affairs. The directors collectively are referred to as a "board of directors." The board will appoint from among itself a President and a Vice President. The board will also appoint, either among itself or from outside the board, a Secretary and a Treasurer.
